Technically Queer is an organization for all people who are queer, queer-positive, gender-variant and/or intersex. We strive to include all  people who self-identify as queer (including but not limited to people who identify as Two Spirit, bisexual, lesbian, gay, and pansexual, as well as people who do not identify with these labels); trans people; those who are questioning their sexuality or gender; those who are struggling with concerns related to intersexuality; and supportive partners, friends, family members, and allies.

We are working towards the establishment of a safe space on campus for those who identify with the goals of tolerance, acceptance, and understanding, especially in regards to queer issues.  Our goal is to eventually have a safe location on campus to provide advocacy, education, information and referral services, and peer support, and to organize political and social activities.

The intent of TQ is to promote and provide an atmosphere that celebrates sexual, gender, and sex diversity; build community; and to be fully inclusive and supportive of all members, including people of any race, culture, ethnicity, gender, sex, colour, age, ability, class, sexuality, nationality, appearance, and religious or political affiliation. We seek not only to end homophobia, biphobia, transphobia, and the oppression of intersex people, but to promote justice, dignity, equity, and human rights for all people.
